Pair Vintage Turkmen Hair Tassels Joghir 12" Long Ethnic Adornment (#11286)

Description

Pair of vintage hair tassels from Turkmenistan, also called a "joghir". Traditionally worn in braids to create beautiful adornment. 12" long, approximately. The metal is a brown-gray/silver color with verdigris, patina and oxidation. Makes a nice jingling sound with movement - used to not only announce the wearer's presence, but also to ward off the evil eye.
